A team from Vialex and sister company, Navigator Employment Law, recently took part in a volunteering day.

Supplying paint and people power to our charity partner Circle Scotland, they were tasked with repainting a mentoring project playroom at the charity’s Haven facilities in Edinburgh.

The Vialex and Navigator volunteers

The room receiving the makeover will be used to provide a range of different services for children and young people, including a unique mentoring project providing academic and emotional support to primary school-age children from P1 to P7.

The team’s brief from Circle was to change the room from its previous décor of bright orange walls and large animal cartoon motifs to something more neutral that will provide a blank canvas for the broad age range of children and young people who will be using the room, and who will choose how to decorate the walls further.

Previous decor

Unfazed by their DIY-in-a-day challenge, the Vialex and Navigator volunteers set to work and by the day’s end all that was orange was turned to cream.

Natalia captures Louise, Liz, Kelly, Euan, Alan and Gareth hard at work.
A professional finish

We look forward to continuing to support Circle, and to seeing how the project room evolves.
